NJ government jobs?

Posted Tuesday April 8 2014, 12:55 pm

I used to hear my uncles talking about how having a government job was a good thing, and you had security in bad times. Now that I am old enough to go after one they are both gone and I don't know how to find out, exactly but how does one go about finding a government job in New Jersey? Things are kind of corrupt here, so do you have to be related to someone or is there another way? Thanks!

Communication with my boss

Posted Monday March 31 2014, 4:44 pm

Hey guys,

I’m writing to you because I have some work problems and I could really use some advice. I’ve been thinking at one time to change my work place and try to start over because of these, but I really enjoy the job, what I did until now and there is a really good opportunity to grow so I would like to give it some more time.
My problem is my boss, or our relationship, or actually the way he behaves and the way I respond. I’ve been thinking about what I expect from a job and I have an idea but the problem is I don’t know how to get it from him.
So let me tell you about the two issues:
1. Asking for stuff from him. This is my main problem. The guy is really a “cheap bastard”, and every tim...

How do I get a job if I have no experience?

Posted Monday March 24 2014, 7:21 pm

I have never had a job before and I've filled out many job applications, but no one has given me a call. I prefer to have a job thats close to where I live, but I think I'm not getting hired because I have no experience. I don't know what to put down for "work experience". Do I need a resume even though I don't have experience?

Employment attorney

Posted Tuesday March 11 2014, 6:37 pm

I need to find a lawyer that can help me fight a discrimination case against someone who didn't hire me because they didn't like something about me, but it had nothing at all to do with the job I would have been doing.

Any advice?

Job for a Small Town Girl

Posted Tuesday March 4 2014, 10:30 am

Okay, I'm a girl and I just turned 15 last month, and I am starting to look around for a first job. But I live in a really small town and their aren't many options.
The only places we have are a few little restaurants, a gas station and two grocery stores.
The thing is, I'm really shy and I get nervous around people I don't know really well. And when I'm nervous or flustered, it's like my brain shuts off and I can't think straight, I do/say really stupid things, cant remember stuff right and I don't seem to understand instructions correctly. I was thinking of babysitting, but I don't want to go to some strangers house or anything like that.

I'm willing to try anything that's not involving math, hard physical ...

Applied at the same store, different departments, different malls?

Posted Friday February 21 2014, 5:14 pm

20/f

Hello, I am feeling conflicted right now.

Let's just say, "mall #1, with department #1" and "mall #2, with department #2."

I got an interview with Nordstrom at mall #1. I passed my phone interview and the recruiter told me they would like me to come in for a face-face interview. They had to find out when the department manager was available and said they will call me back the next day, and if they don't call, to call them. The next day, they didn't call, and I did what they said, I called. Nobody answered so I left a message, my name, and my number.

I looked online and found out that department #2 was available in mall #2. I got so excited because I heard t...

I have a lot of experience with directing with directing, writing and performing in 6 performances currently working on another, but the problem is, is that it is not the most stable job in the market but I am willing to work for it. Also because I live in Scotland I would need to move to either London or America to make a good living. Again this does not bother me too much. More the expenses.
