Should you send a letter thanking the person who interviewed you? A friend says you should, but I don't know if it would be weird or not. What do you think?

Try and get a business card from the person who interviews you. Doing so gives you the person’s name so you can spell it properly along with the proper mailing address or their email address. If they have an email address it is proper in today’s world to send the thank you letter by email. Just format the email as you would a letter.
The letter only has to be a few lines.
Dear _______,
I enjoyed meeting and speaking with you today and look forward to working with you and your company. Should you have any additional questions for me please feel free to call me.

In fact, it's a great way letting the interviewer know you appreciate the time they took to interview you and for giving you a chance. It will also keep you in their mind which is very important. If you have their email then an email should be great. It's not weird at all. [ TheAnnie's advice column | Ask TheAnnie A Question ]
