So, you will be ahead of the game. For example, if you are interested in being a chef you could look into working for a high end restaurant that might pay for schooling and offer you chef position when you graduate. You could be a host, busser, or dish washer and work your way up. You could work in the mail room of a business you may be interested in working for after you graduate college. Doing so you can net work and get to know the hiring staff. Retail is always a good place for a teenager. You could work at one of your favorite clothing stores so you could get the latest fashions first at a discount. Plus, you could be promoted if you stick with it. You may be interested in working at the zoo or amusement park. I think it's great you want to get out there and earn your own money. Good luck. This leaves working in retail establishments such as sporting goods stores as a stock boy or cashier. The local supermarkets are good places to apply to as they are big on part-time help. Then of course they are the fast food restaurants.
Simmer jobs that pay well would include; camp counselors, lawn care companies, pool attendants, golf caddie and other outdoor activities. The time to apply for some of these jobs would be in the next month or so as they want to have their summer help trained and ready by Memorial Day weekend. Yes you would be expected to work that weekend all the way through to Labor Day weekend. [ adviceman49's advice column | Ask adviceman49 A Question ]
