Mysterious Dog Death

Posted Monday November 3 2014, 4:35 pm

I was wondering if it is at all possible for a two year old german shepherd to have a freak accident and fall down the stairs and die with a blunt force wound to the back of the head. There were plenty of bricks and stones at the bottom of the steps for her to knock her head, we were told she slipped on her scarf walking up the stairs and fell backwards down, and just died instantly. Is this physically possible? I want to avoid giving the impression that it was foul play, I wasn't there to witness it -- I just want unbiased opinions from anyone.

puppy biting

Posted Monday November 3 2014, 12:19 pm

How do you stop a puppy from biting? I can see this being a serious problem when she gets older unless you can help me do something about it now.

PLEASE. THIS IS MY LAST CHANCE. :'(

Posted Saturday November 1 2014, 11:27 pm

My dog wont stop biting me, in the neck area. This occurs usually when I am sleeping or going to sleep. I mean it must be my dog? Because when I wake up, and look in the mirror I find the strangest bite marks on my neck. They itch like crazy and start to bruise after a couple days. Then weeks after, i notice lumps growing on my neck and down the side of my body. I think i'm dying, I have no other pets or animals in my house. GETTING RID OF THE DOG IS NOT A OPTION i love him very much. No I am not crazy, are mentally sick. something is very wrong here. I think I might just take the easy way out. By leaving this world...My dog doesn't even like me. Well goodbye have a wonderful day.

What Could Be Wrong With My Dog?

Posted Wednesday October 1 2014, 12:15 am

I wanna start by saying that I know none of you are vets and I plan to see a vet soon. I just want to know if any of you have run into this problem. I have a nine year old male yorkie who will actually be ten in January. Sometimes I forget how old he is because he still acts like a little puppy, which is why it kills me to see him start to develop old dog problems.

A while back, my mother's yorkie, who's a bit aggressive, picked a fight with mine and injured his leg. It took excessively long for his leg to heal and as soon as it did, the same thing happened over again. It took so long to heal that time that I knew the fight alone wasn't to blame for his pain. I also noticed that he no longer limps on the same leg.

Baby Rats Taming

Posted Monday September 29 2014, 12:42 am

I have had rats in the past growing up, my last rat was solitaire, I never got another because my mother had a problem with just one being in the house; however I spent much much time with her. And she lived 5 years and passed when I turned 18. I am now 21 and last Monday went out to the city and saw a few baby rats. The litter was abouy 7 weeks the lady told me. And I looked at the babies and fell in love with two adorable little girls, I brought them home with me. (Over the past month I had Gotten a tank with everything needed, since I was expecting on getting either mice or a pair of rats.) While they grow enough to be put in a cage I have them in a 25 Gallon tank with igloo, waterbottle, food bowl, bedding and some chewblocks and piece...

puppy pictures

I know some of you are going to think I am silly but can you get professional puppy pictures taken? This little guy is like my child and if my child was little I would get studio portraits done, so why not for my puppy? Would they just laugh at me or am I not the first one to think of this?

What advice should I give my sister about getting a dog?

Posted Tuesday August 19 2014, 4:12 pm

My sister got married recently and she and her husband have very different feelings about dogs. Our family has always had dogs. We love them and my sister can't imagine her children not having one. Her husband however doesn't like dogs. He had one when he was a kid, but has stated numerous times that he's not a dog person.

They've agreed to get a border collie, but her husband is insisting that the dog will stay at their ranch house and they will visit it only on occasion to make sure it has enough food and water. This is a very stupid idea. We had a border collie when we were young and he was incredibly friendly and energetic. Those dogs are known for being that way. If they got one and left it by itself all of the time with...

baby bearded dragon questions

Posted Tuesday August 12 2014, 9:58 pm

I just purchased a bearded dragon he is about 3-4 months old and about 6 inches long from head to tail. He was rescued from a breeder who underfed the babies and he had part of his tail eaten off and he was skinny. I thought he would have a hard time eating but easily eats about 20 crickets a day and a serving of carrots, apples, and collard greens. I keep his cage 100° on the hot side and about 80° on the cool. I have had him 3 days and he has only pooped once. It was a good size and firm/wet. I have him on aspen snake substrate but I read they can injest this and become impacted. I was thinking of switching him to newspaper. Since he has been home his belly has gotten twice as large as it was when I got him. (I think because he was unde...

Animals Hate Attic and Basement

Posted Thursday July 31 2014, 12:44 pm

I have 3 dogs(Poodle/Shitzu mix, Miniature Schnauzer, and Yorkie), 3 cats, and recently got a rabbit(Flemish Giant).

I have brick house, including a main floor, upstairs, attic and a basement, built in 1905. We know factual story's of Murders and have heard other things such as odd or even supernatural happenings in the house and have experienced some ourselves.

The Cats tend to have no problem with any locations within the house, But the dogs refuse to go in the basement.

They are fine in any other location of the house (though they hesitate to go in the attic, they will go up there), but the basement. Brittney (The mix)follows my Mom everywhere, but the basement.

The Yorkie won...

My parents got a dog that barks all the time and other things and I hate it

Posted Wednesday July 16 2014, 10:32 am

My parents brought a dog home last night and it's so annoying! It keeps fighting with the other dog and has peed on the floor three times. Despite this, I'm the only one ticked off as everyone is like "aw look how cute the wittle puppy is". He was barking at three in the morning last night, and not just a little bit, a full-on frickin' chain of YIP YIP YIP. He knocked over my Chromebook and my mom got mad at me even though I put the charger up on the chair where I thought he wouldn't get it....I hate this dog and wish we would've gotten a kitten instead. Kittens are cute. I wish I could love or at least tolerate it though....what do I do? Just suffer until he's trained?
