Hospital hours

Posted Thursday January 19 2017, 7:15 am

I applied for a position at my local hospital and it says "afternoon shift" so I was just curious if anyone on here works in a hospital and it able to tell me what that shift is usually around. Does it start at 12 and go until 9? Or like 3 in the afternoon til midnight?
It says hours per shift forecasted in 8 so I don't think I'd have to worry about being scheduled any 12 hour shifts.
I'm just curious about it. I know I'll most likely find out in the interview, if I get one but I'd just like to be a bit educated on it beforehand and maybe it'll help in my decision to really pursue it.
Thanks for any help!

I recently passed the board exam and now a professional. Its been 3 months and I dont have a job yet although I really fail to put effort in it for the first 2 and half months. Now I feel like I am a burden, but I do not like to rush my job search because I want to be so sure about it. There were offers for me but I keep on declining them because of the location and the nature of work. Am i being picky? I wanted to have job already, but I cant just say yes to something that I do not sincerely like. My mother keep on nagging about this and she is afraid about what others may say now that I am still unemployed. Thanks in advance.

My Selective Mutism and suicidal thoughts

Posted Thursday December 1 2016, 9:29 am

Although I am pretty young(16) to think about this, but my condition is pretty bad. When I was a baby,i used to get really really sick. It stopped for sometime and started again when I was in 9th grade. During that period,i had to take so many leaves to the point where I couldn't catch up at all. I love studying but then somehow because of all the stress,i tried to commit suicide. Back then,i used to lose my ability to talk but it used to come back after around a week. I couldn't take all that anymore and decided to quit studying for the time being. After that, during summer holidays,i wanted to try studying. So I looked up open schooling syllabus and tried to study for that. But I couldn't get anything to my head and I tried to kill myself a...

Jobs for young students

Posted Saturday November 26 2016, 4:26 am

Hey, I'm almost fourteen, and since formal is coming I want to be able to buy stuff like makeup and shoes, I could ask money from my parents, but I feel bad about it though we are not poor or anything, they already paid for my dress and formal ticket, so I feel bad about asking for more, I know I'm probably too young for a proper job, but do any of you know any jobs for people my age???

I like my current job, but today I got another one...what should I do?

Posted Thursday April 7 2016, 11:48 pm

I'm 21, and currently a full-time college student at a college I just transferred to this semester from my hometown. It took me 3 months to find my current job and by the time I did I was almost out of savings money so I really needed it.

It took me some time to get into the swing of things, but now I've come to enjoy my job and the people I work with more than any previous jobs. The problem that arose was that even though it pays enough to cover my basic bills, it doesn't allow me to save any money or even start to pay tuition and housing. So if I run out of scholarships I'm going to be in big trouble (which is very possible). Another issue is that it's in retail management for a new company so the chances of moving up are b...

Should I invest my money with Citizens Bank?

Posted Sunday January 31 2016, 2:07 pm

I am 23 years old and I have $120,000 sitting in my bank account just building interest at around $1-$2 a month. I have no idea how or where to invest, currently I m just working a part time job at Best Buy while looking for something Full Time, but in the mean time I want this money to grow.
I have been visiting with my local Citizens Bank because I feel like I should be investing this money and so far one of their experts that they got gave me this proposal called a Vanguard S&P 60% Equity/ 40% Fixed Income Portfolio to think about. They suggested that I put $75,000 into a Managed Money account and that they will help do most of the work and help make my investment grow. The Asset Allocation in the proposal says:

Looking for Work From Home Job

Posted Wednesday January 27 2016, 1:20 pm

I'm interested in a work at home job. Ive worked a few telemarketing jobs from home before but now I have a small child and I'm not able to talk on the phone for 8 hours a day. I want something that gives me more freedom than that. I'm looking for something REAL that costs very little or nothing to start. I would prefer to be able to sell something through my own website or maybe be a virtual assistant. Anything that allows me to keep my 18 month old son in the same room. If anyone knows any REAL jobs please let me know. Thanks
