What is the difference between the LS and SS versions of the Chevy Monte Carlo?

i was just wondering what the difference between an LS and an SS Chevy Monte Carlo is. I have been looking at a bunch of different kinds of cars, and to be totally honest im just not sure what the difference is. thankyou!

My car just wont stay running..

ok im a female and only 18 but i do know a little about cars well just really mine and my parents' but yesterday i went out to warm my car up for work and it is parked on a hill, on the side of a street, and when i parked my gas light was on but i should of had enough gas to warm it up and gets down the road for gas but after it warmed up for maybe 5 mins it like stalled and my "check engine" light oil light and battery light came on.. now is it that im out of gas and just need some gas cuz of the hill or is there someone else thats worse wrong? I checked all the fluids and there fine. Please help me.

I had my car at the house my father lives. His girlfriend's/wife's brother owns the house. My car was on their property and it's gone now. I'm not sure if it was stolen and sold or if car repossesion came to tow my car off their property. My father claims he was at work when my car's disappearance had taken place. He gave me a story that a friend from his girlfriend's/wife's brother's work was about to lose his home and my car was sold to help save his house without my knowledge or consent. Then his girlfriend/wife gave me another story: it was towed because it had an expired license. I told her that was not true, it was up-to-date until this month(this as I was told happened 2-3 months ago). She then told me: no, I meant it was towed becau...

Chevy Venture dies

I have a 2004 Chevy Ventura mini van. It dies a lot usually when driving but sometimes when ideling. I had a local mechanic check it once when it wouldn't start and he found it was getting no spark. He replaced the electronic ignition module and the crankshaft sensor but this did not fix the problem. He checked an air flow sensor and determined that was not the problem. It usually starts after 5 to 40 attempt to restart, except once it didn't start for two hours. The Chevy Dealership can find nothing wrong with it. It has a new battery. It has about 100,000 miles. Today it died five times in twenty minutes. Please help me. Thank you.

What do I do about my idea for an invention?

Hello. I am Male/16. I have an idea for a project. Its basically a new car. Its actually very simple without the "technical" details. I am almost sure that it can work. The only problem is that I don't know where to start. It would be great just to do minor experiments. I have searched the internet and found nothing similar. But I am still worried that someone else might break out with a similar idea. Are there any places that I can contact? Any? That can help? Funds are not available at all. If I do not find a way anytime soon, I may have to wait a long time and experiment in a garage or something 10 years from now.

I am looking into getting a new car and im looking at an 08 Mitsubishi eclipse and a Mazda rx8 ooooor a 2007 f150. BUT i have heared a lot of bad things about all of them at some point. do Rx8's really not last? Thats what i keep hearing and I know the eclipse had a few bad years but i thought it was the early 2000 model not the knew one or the ones before 1999.

Antique car help?

Hello! So, I've been looking for an older convertible that is in good condition, oldest around 1970, included with air bags and seat belts. Pretty much ready to hit the road without falling to pieces. And that is for sale in New Jersey, or in neighboring states. Price is not so much an issue as I'm more concerned about it being safer rather than cheaper. But the lower the price, the better. Though, I have been having trouble finding such a car. If anyone knows any helpful antique car sites, antique car shops in the area, or know of a car that fits the description, that would be phenomenal.

IP Brake light comes on

The IP Brake light comes on when I get above 35 MPH on my 92 GMC truck. Have all new brakes, & full pedal, stops good.

When you go to take the written driving test do they check your attendance?

So I got really sick this year during the month before the last month of school and I wound up missing 16 days of school. My doctor actually called the school and alerted them of what had happened. Nobody said anything when I went back to school after missing 16 days so I figured I was fine. Then during the summer I got my last report card in the mail and it said I had 16 unexcused absences.
I called the school and the only lady that was still there told me that I was labeled a "truant" and that I wouldn't be able to get my license!
I told her what happened but she said she didn't have the rights to change it because she was only a librarian and not an attendance worker and that seeing as it was so fa...

Buying a motorcycle for college

I'm going to college this fall as a freshman and typically first years aren't supposed to bring their cars because all the parking spots are reserved for upperclassmen. so normally the younger class eithr bikes or walks to classes (and they stay in dorms.. while upperclassmen typically commute- aka drive from home or apartment).
so this fall my parent aren't letting me bring my car. I only live 25 minutes away from my college and I think its silly that i can't have a car my first year. My parents are moving and thinking about selling my car. I was thinking about buying a motorcycle? Nothing spendy like a harly-davidson.. haha. But i did find one that I really like. Honda motorcycle for only 3,999 dollars. Thats pretty cheap ...

Can my car get taken away from me if my friend drove without insurance

Last year I decided to teach my friend how to drive my 5 speed stick shift car. Long story short, we got hit on the driver side bumper (my car at a complete stop) because the other girl was texting while driving and "didn't see us". After the cop got there he talked to her and let her leave and she even passed the turn into her friends driveway, had to back up her car a good ten fifteen feet to go to where she was trying to go. My passenger side wheels are in the ditch from where my friend got over so far trying to avoid the girl. Anyways she got the ticket for no insurance I and paid court costs and paid the ticket but now (eight months later) messages me on facebook to tell me that she wants me to send her my tags a registration...

Vapor Locking

I think my vehicle is vapor locking and dont know what to do to fix it. After you drive it for a while it will die and not restart for about an hour however the last time it did this to me i took the gas cap off and it fired up immediately which is why i think its vapor locking. I already changed the distributor cap and rotor and the spark plugs.

Afraid to drive.

I am female, 16 and have my permit. I want my licence so bad, I want to go out and do things without my parents. Now, I'm not afraid to drive as much as I'm afraid that I'll get hurt or worse, hurt someone else. I don't know why, but I think about that and I feel like I never want to get my licence. But I want to be able to drive on my own I just have a big fear holding me back and I don't know how to get rid of it! Any ideas to help me get over this fear and just go do it, just go out and drive? Thanks
