I could just give you the answer, but I would like to show you a trick so you can work it out yourself the next time this comes up:
Whenever you have a partial number after the decimal point, even the places out before you begin:
Which is easier to figure out:
4.82+12.7
... or:
12.70
+ 4.82
-------
When you see it like that, it is stone simple, eh? Just do the addition as if the decimal wasn't there at all. Adding that 0 after the 7 just makes it process better when you look at it.
So:
12.70
+ 4.82
-------
17.52

Hi! I have a Nikon camera & have been using ViewNX2 for a few years,hen i uploaded the programi chose Italian as my language,but now i want to chang it to English (im teaching my little sister to use it & she doesnt speak Italian).So can i do this or do i have to upload it again? I went through the manual, and wasn't able to find a way to change the language settings except to re-install over the top of the last copy, and choose a new language at the time.
I suggest you do NOT do this unless it is a last resort. Normally I would install ViewNX 2, and go through the options, but I am afraid this is a crazy busy time for me right now. :-(
I am guessing you looked through all the options pages in the program, but just in case you haven't, please double check there for a drop down selector that will allow you to pick a new language.
If it were me, I would contact Nikon for a definitive answer:

A couple other thoughts: How about installing it on a different machine, so your little sister doesn't accidentally destroy your life's work? ;-)
Also, I don't know what you are doing for back-ups of your photos, but if they are this important to you, please consider backing them up.
In theory, you could back them up, install the latest version of the program, in English:

Please let me know in feedback what Nikon Support says about this. If there is an easy way, I would like to know for the next time this comes up.

My computer is telling me that my AppData/Local/Microsoft/Windows/Burn/Burn file is corrupted, as seen in the link below:

I've ran the check/repair it tells me to, but it doesn't fix it, and says something about a program I downloaded that's preventing the check/repair to finish. How can I fix this?
I'm not even sure what this file is, is it safe to just delete it? (link)

Hi there,
If you didn't check the box to scan for and repair bad sectors, you should run the utility again and do so.
Before you even do that, you should back up and files you wish to keep, simply because errors like this are frequently a sign of impending drive failure.

I have this Case Programming Assignment, Im having trouble with. It's in VS Express 2013 Net Framework. I have to make where a user puts in the dog's age, then the program displays the dogs age and the age in human years. when the user puts in the dogs age 9. the label says Your dog is 9 years old and 63 in people years.

This is the best possible thing you can suggest they do. If they are truly trapped in Spain and wish to return, they will likely arrange to send them home as soon as possible.
I suggest that they start by calling and talking to someone there. An e-mail might get lost in the shuffle, and they have no time to waste.
If they happen to be in, or very near, Madrid, they should go there in person and explain.

Two possibilities:
One: The answer was abusive, spam, or something else really unhelpful, and was deleted.
Two: You have the setting on your profile page:
"When browsing the site, should we hide bad columnists from you? (You can still visit their columns, but you won't ever read their advice or see them on columnist search pages.)"
... set to a higher level than the person is currently rated. If you change it to "No - Show me everyone!" and you still don't see an answer, then reason number one is correct.

So, my current laptop is basically dead, and we think there's really nothing we can do, so now I am looking for a new one.
I will be using this laptop mostly for school (reports, online resources, etc.), e-mail, web browsing, and gaming (Yeah, I'm sort of a nerd so I would like it to be a good computer for gaming). I might also want to have a 2-in-1 laptop and tablet.
My budget is about $250-$400, so any suggestions in that price range?
I would also like to know if anyone has had experience with intel Pentium? I have found some 2-in-1 laptop/tablets I like for $350, but my brother says intel Pentium isn't any good. Any thoughts? The brand is HP, is that a good brand?

Sadly, there isn't much for a gaming laptop in that price range. Sure, you can run a lot of games with reduced graphics settings and get by just fine, but if you intend to run the graphics at higher quality settings, you will need a machine with a dedicated graphics card. You can find some of those second hand around $500, but if you intend to buy new, they are way out of the budget you stated. For example, AlienWare, which is famous for gaming laptops, among other things, has a sale going on that would get you into one for $1,099, but it isn't a 2-in-1. This would let you game though.

Your brother is absolutely right about AMD being better than Intel... up until about 6 years ago when they released a newer series of CPUs that AMD has never been able to top.
It pains me to say that, it really does, but the fact of the matter is that performance per watt of power use is firmly in the Intel camp now.
As for the use of the word Pentium there, I would agree that for higher end use, such as gaming, you would prefer a Core5 or better chip, but once again, your budget won't allow that.
You would be surprised how well the dual core Pentium chips will run most everything you want to these days. I kinda wish they had invented a new name for their mid-level chips, since Pentium has a bit of a stigma attached, but these aren't the old Pentium chips from 1996, in fact, for the money, they are pretty amazing.
Speaking for my own experience, I haven't had a lot of luck with HP laptops. When I had my own shop, more out of warranty HP's came through than anything else.
Having said that, there is a problem with all laptops: They cost more to fix than you would even believe. As long as you buy the longest warranty you can get, you will end up ok no matter what you buy as long as it is a major brand.
I have had good fortune with Acer, Toshiba and Dell, in that order.

For future reference, I would like to share something that will save you, and the next guy, both a lot of grief:
The kiss isn't where the magic happens. Kissing someone to see if they are your soulmate just doesn't work.
You know how you know? When you ache to kiss the person, when it is all you can think about. Simply put: don't kiss anyone at all until you are already feeling like you are going to die if you don't find a way to kiss them.
If you realize that you didn't swoon at the thought of kissing him, then there was nothing there romantically in the first place.
The spark happens BEFORE the kiss... otherwise this is how friendships get screwed up. :-(
You will know when the time is right. When you don't have to "try it out," but instead are aching for it, then you have something. Otherwise, you will just be creating the potential for hurt feelings.

dear Dangernerd i am sorry for those threats i made and i have searched the net for other websites like this one but had no success at all looking for them and i do not want to seek professional psychiatric care becuase i do not like the questions they ask it irritates me and i am no rapist i threatened MissyMeliss back when topix was my problem but now topix has no control over me anymore and what caused all this stuff last year was when i asked about MissyMeliss she is the only user i threatened to rape only becuase of the answer to my question long ago when i first found this site and another thing i really miss getting advice on a website and if you do get this in your column and you still dont want me on here can you atleast post me links to sites similar to this where can you actually get some advice either to the open forum or as a private message and its gotta look just like this one and if so you wont have to worry about seeing me on here again (link)

I don't know of any other sites that would be able to help you. You may not like the questions mental health professionals ask, but sometimes in order to get better, we have to do things we don't like. I don't know anyone who likes getting a shot, but people do it all the time because they know they need the help.
There is nothing that anyone here can really do for you, except send you to a professional. You state here that you only threatened to rape a user BECAUSE of her advice to you. I can't risk you hurting anyone in the future because you don't like their answer. For this reason, I have to insist you stay away from the site.

You answered my question about making a job change recently. After initially accepting the offer, I recanted and turned it down. Later that day the HR Manager left me a voicemail stating management really liked me and wanted to sweeten the offer. I called this morning. Instead of making an offer, she asked me what it would take to get me to come. I gave her a number that was 6% more than what Iwas offered, but still well within the stated salary range. She later sent an email saying she gave the proposal to management and that they were going to pursue other candidates. They didn't even make a counter offer, and said they really didn't think I wanted the job. I thought it was bizarre. (link)

Well, the reason HR always asks you to tell them what you want, is simply to see what your expectations are. Your expectations and the company's expectations just didn't mesh.
Be glad you found this out now, rather than down the road.
Also, the fact that you accepted the offer, then changed your mind back and forth, then asked for more than 5%... well, when I put it like that, hopefully you can see why they might think twice.
As for all the other things you mentioned in your feedback... nobody here reads minds. Had you made that case to the HR person before you said 6%, you may well have the job. Had you explained yourself here, you would have had different answers, but you failed to do so and expected us to read your mind. Few things are more important than good communication skills and the ability to explain yourself when you are interviewing. (Or asking questions on Advicenators.)
On a side note... your other question says: "...I would get a 10% salary increase."
... which makes me wonder what your motives in posting this here are. Are you simply trolling to see who you can leave abusive feedback for? If you were truly mystified by the turn of events, that has been answered by a number of people. There is no question here, but if one were to infer a question on your behalf, the answer is pretty straight forward... Your offer was within the salary range, but not the salary range they formulated when they gauged your experience relative to the position.
As someone who has hired (and fired) a few folks over the years, I can state with some certainty that this is what happened. I have also been the person who asked for just a touch more than the person making the offer was comfortable with... and funnily enough, they said the exact same thing you were told.
For the future, here is a good rule of thumb: At a new company, you might expect a 4% raise on a salaried position your first year, if you don't screw up too badly. 5% is pretty much tops for a first annual raise unless you are a rockstar who has made a major difference in the company. With this in mind, asking for 6% is more than they were planning on paying you a whole year from now.
A good suggestion for something they cover as a matter of course: If you have to move for the position, it is not at all unreasonable for you to ask that they cover moving costs as your new employer. Anything beyond that, and you look greedy.
As someone who has been on both sides of the HR desk, I know that 1% over the "greedy" mark, means you are just done. Interview is over. There are exceptions, of course, such as them recruiting a CEO that has a record of bringing companies back from near death, but other than those rare situations, asking for more than your first annual salary bump gets you round-filed.
