Hi. A couple of years ago you answered a question I posted about being worried about my babies dad not being the father. Turns out it was never an issue, thank heavens!! I'm not sure if you remember. Your answer was very helpful, reassuring and kind and I am deeply appreciative. Life has been wonderful since then but I had to delete the question because for some stupid reason I included my full name in the question. I really don't know how I managed to do that. But anyway, let me try to get to the point lol.
When you Google my name, the question now shows up and anyone can discover my little secret... Which happened recently and I'm mortified since I thought the problem was behind me. I can't imagine if the wrong person were to find it and read it. Advicenators helped me get the question deleted from my profile but they wouldn't delete it from yours and the other profiles of the people who answered it because it wouldnt be fair to you. I've been trying to contact them again to see if there is anything else I can do... Even just take my name out, but they haven't responded. My question to you is would it be okay with you if the question got deleted. I'm hoping with the permission of the advice columnists, I can get it deleted. I don't want to have to take a question away from your column but I can try to repay you by helping your column out in some other way since you were very helpful to me.

Hey guys!
I want to get my boyfriend a record player for Christmas and after researching record players for the past two weeks and finally making up my mind and getting one that I'm not too thrilled about and am returning, I thought I'd come here to seek some advice.
I have the Crosley record player and the sound quality is terrible, it's super old and I am looking into a new one after the holidays and he comments on the sound quality of mine a lot so I want to get him one that sounds good and looks older just because that is the kind of guy he is, an old soul. All of his friends have a record player and collect vinyls so I don't want him to have a techy one or anything when I know all of his friends have vintage looking ones.
My boyfriend is also a musician. He plays guitar in a band, sings, and plays piano so he definitely has an ear for music and wouldn't be too pleased with a record players that skips or fuzzes some vinyls. I don't need a fancy recommendation either, one that comes with a radio or cassette player or bluetooth because I know all he's looking for is one for him to be able to start collecting records and play them on his own instead of playing with mine or his friends.
Any help is appreciated, if you're into collecting vinyls or what kind of record player you would want (or have) if you have a knack for music.

There are only a couple reasons this would happen:
1.) People deleted a question, after asking it.
2.) You waited to long to answer, and lost the ability to do so.
3.) Someone spammed your inbox, and we deleted the spam for you.
That is about all I can think of.

I used to love a guy n proposed him for 3times but he refused 1st 2times n accepted me the 3rd time.our families n frnz knoew abt us.his mother was extra friendly with me n my mom.on the other hans my parents didn't like them because of their lifestyle n status but they adjusted with them coz I loved that guy.in the beginning I was too naive to understand his mom's policies..she used to call my parents n me to complaint abt me n what have I done wrong n what shouldn't have I done..my parents never chased her son for anything..but then she started to put all the blames upon me for her son's alcoholism..the guy used to consume alcohol before even he knows me but his mom said I am the reason for which he gets hurt n compelled to drink..even when her son met accidents she accused me..whereas her son uaed to lie to me in every steps of life n she used to chase me even before my exam nights..they kept me literally in mental trauma when I was in hostel..every single day I used to cry due to them.all my hostelmates were annoyed with their behavior n saw my sufferings..but I didn't tell anything to my parents..but oneday his mom called me when I was in home n chased me..my mom saw me crying n I became sick so mom called that guy n questioned him for the 1st time for his deeds...but again we patched up n smoothly were in.relationship untill he again fought wid me for no reason n lied n consumed alcohol...then he sent massage to my dad n.asked for his help to rescue him.from.me n said him that I am mentally sick...my dad didn't bother n didn't reply..but next to.next day I patched up with him unknown to the fact of his msg...then we went on a vacation, got intimated n all..he still didn't tell me anything abt the msg..then I dscvrd the msg on my dad's mbl n.confronted my bf...he fought again.n.used slang abt my mom n insltd her...i also said him word insltng his mom (which I shouldn hv done)..nw his mom again.called me up n literally quarreled wid me n tld me tht she'll cmplnt against me n my mom to my dad for abusing n accusing her son whereas I was the victim so long n she insltd my mom over n over...bt I knw myself..i'll again try to patch up wid him after all these...coz I so love him n had sex so cant frgt him..what should I do? It's fairly clear from the title, but I'll repeat it here. I'm desperately trying to figure out how to delete my Advicenators account and cannot figure it out. It looks like there used to be a form to do so, but it's no longer available. Instead I saw this "Until further notice, if you feel you want to delete your account, e-mail me." I emailed the listed address, which I think was yours, but I haven't heard back.
Is there another way for me to delete my account?

I put in a tampon for the first time. at first I thought i did it right, but then realized it was really uncomfortable, and I don't think all the way in. But I went to get it out, and it won't come out, and hurts really bad. it's been in for about 2 hours. (link)

Hi there,
The odds are the person asked it to more than one person, or aked it both publicly, and also wanted your personal input.
After a question has been abandoned for 7 days it will be combined with any other copies, into one question with all answers attached.
This is almost certainly what happened. If that isn't it, the person probably thought you weren't going to answer, so they deleted it.
Either way, I understand. Nobody can get to everything all the time. In the future, if you know that you aren't going to be able to answer something for a couple weeks, please use the tool to pass the question to others. This way the user gets an answer, even if it isn't your own.
Before I wrote the de-duper script, and the ability to pass on questions to others, a staggering number of questions were never answered, sitting in inboxes for eternity, or, sadly, being deleted without a second thought. :-(
Things are much better now. We have tools to help when you are busy. :-)
Again, please don't feel bad about it, it most likely got answered by another user.
Do you think a tighter timeline would make things better or worse? I mean if you knew that you had 24 hours to answer a question before it was passed on to someone who might have the time, would that be a good motivator? I did 7 days originally because I didn't want to rush people, but, knowing that unregistered users hardly ever check back after 48 hours from the time they ask you a question... should 24 or 48 hours be the limit?

If your tablet is running Android 5.0 (Lollipop), then this is a known bug that they are working on:

... if not, then the sensor in the headphone jack my be stuck so that it thinks you have headphones connected. Give this a try:
Plug in your headphones... do you have sound? If so, unplug and re-plug a few times to see if the headphone jack switch will unstick.
If you have no sound through the earphones either, then go into the sound menu in system settings and see if anything is muted. If so, un-mute it and see how you do.

We met at a horse ranch in 2011. N was 14 I was 12. When the instructor said to a different kid "Do you know her (as he pointed to me) name?" He stood there frozen. While "N" jumped up and down in excitement and said, "Oh I do!!"
Next year, we gathered at a chili cook off. I straightened my hair to look good. "N" noticed. "How did you get your hair to look longer? Like, I know you can make it prettier, but how did you make it longer."
That same year, I got embarrassed by being unable to control a horse.. I cried. Hoping "N" wouldn't see me when he jogged by, he stopped in his tracks and his familiar voice filled my ears. "Is she okay?" My mom told him the story, be assured me just because of me being physically disabled, doesn't make me any less strong.
Last year. I turned 15. He's 17. He put on this ridiculous dance at church and swung his arms gently singing happy birthday with his twin brother next to him. I smiled, and said,"You remembered." He looked at me and said how could I forget?
This year, I showed him the cuts on my body.
He hasn't turned his back on me. He's helping me.
Someone told me to kill myself and twice he said, "Maybe you should introduce me to him so I can show him how a true gentleman acts. 😉"
Or I could be completely mistaken and he's just being nice to me..

Okay so I am wondering if there is any way to sync 2 different itunes libraries to my iphone.
I have a laptop at home with most of my music on it. However, I wanted to be able to sync music from my work computer as well. I know I can log in to my itunes account on both computers, the problem with that is that itunes is not the source of my music. I am trying to find out if there is any way I can go home, and sync to my iphone as well as go to work and when i want a song to be put on, I can put it on there as well without affecting any of the existing data.
Please help, I'm new to the apple world and its a little overwhelming.

Hi there,
Apple has gone out of their way to prevent you doing this, and the reason is simple enough: If you could just absorb the music from any old install of iTunes, then you could buy a song and share it with all your friends by simply letting them plug in their iPhones or iPads.
There is a possible work-a-round that is technical enough to prevent easy sharing, but do-able enough to accomplish a one time dual-sync of two iTunes libraries to a single iPhone:

... though I warn you it is fairly technical for a beginning user.
If you plan to sync between machines regularly, you may want to come up with a new way to manage your music library.

So getting advice is what this site is all about! As I was just posting a question of mine, I couldn't help but notice the Notes section below the question section!!
I am from India and we do speak good English! We might not be the best orators in the world but we are more than capable of having a good conversation with any one!
I personally think that it is a bit harsh to categorize one nation on their ability to speak English!
Here I am, trying to make my point! It would be perfect if you could do something about being brutal about how people type their questions on the forum!

That isn't there to be "brutal" nor does does it single out India. It clearly states that India is just an example. :-)
The reason I did this is because we get a great many people posting from countries that have a different take on English. What was happeneing before I added that, is that the people answering would be "Brutal" about their poor English, and not bother to actually answer the question.
When someone says: "I am from Iraq..." people then have mercy on their poor English skills, and don't feel the need to attack them for making so many mistakes.
Of course the good, kind and caring people will always answer the questions, no matter how poorly written they are, without correcting their writing. :-)
Again, India is just an example, you are not being singled out.

I was looking at the questions that I have asked. Each question I have asked says that I have 3 answers, but when I click on the question that was asked, it only shows two. Is this a bug? Or is it really only 2 answers but it's a bug that says only 3 have answered?

Hi there,
In your settings there is one that allows you to hide answers from users who haven't been rated enough yet, or who have been given low ratings. If you change that setting to show everything, you will see all the answers.
The only other reason would be if a user was banned after they answered your question. The first situation is much more likely.
