Overhaul

I just aquired a 1980 Pontiac Grand Prix. It is desperately in need of some love. Can anyone give me a website that would give me checklists, guidelines, or step-by-step instructions on completely redoing this car? I need help with everything from the body, to the interior, to under the hood. Thanks!

painting a car

Heyy! Right now I'm 16 and I'll get my license in a couple months (I was lazy and didnt get my permit until I was 16... bad idea!) anyways, I'm getting a silver kia spectra and I cant stand the silver color! especially with the grey interior.... yuck! Does anyone know how much it would cost to get my car professionally painted another color? Or does anyone have any other ideas of how to spice my car up. I'm already going to put my poms in the back window and something around the rearview mirror. I want to get seat covers too but I need good websites that I can buy cute ones on!
Any Ideas?

how do you determine if a car is a sports car or not?? im lookin for cars but my parents said i couldn't get a sports car for insurance reasons or whatever but every car i like they say its a sports car! is it by how much horsepower it has? and if so how much does a sports car have?

when you get your license

I know that when you get your license, they require you to bring proof of current enrollment and your recent attendance record from school. [You usually get that in the attendance office at your school.] But since it's summer, do they still expect you to get that? Also, in a letter from my school district [that i received from drivers ed course] it lists the documents and things I need to bring with me to get my license. No where does it say anything about bringing proof of insurance, is that also required or no? [By the way, I live in Texas and I already looked at the DMV website for these answers and couldnt find them anywhere.]

renewing my drivers permit in another state

If I am renewing my drivers permit in another state (I moved to Arizona and its expired now), do I just go to the DMV and renew it (meaning they'd just take a new picture of me, etc) or do I have to take the drivers permit test all over again? Ive already checked their website, and I cant find any information.

1990 Ford Probe mechanical whoes

I have a 1990 Ford Probe 4 cyl. non-turbo w\Mazda 2.2 motor. Help!!! I just paid $900.00 for valves and head job. After getting the car out of the shop it has no power (bogs and has no get up and go at all). It uses an extreme amount of fuel and it has a strong fuel smell as well as back fires. It drives like this for the most part but once in awhile it will kick in long enough ( a few short miles) to make you think it may be running better then, Wham! It goes right back to it's no power, cutting out, and runs like ---- self. Can you please point me in a direction I can maybe get this problem fixed. Being a single mother of 2 I can't continue this game of nickle and diming me to death, this car has broke me yet I can't afford to buy a d...

i just bought a jeep. an '87 renagade to be exact. ive still ogt a year before i can drive it so my dad said we can take this year to work on it. we just bout a jbl marine radio for it and right now we are looken for some speekers. we want the sound bar that goes right behind your head. its navy blue with a tan top any ideas on interior color, sound bars, or tires

Driving..

Ok. Just yesterday I got my driving permit, and I'm a little nervous about driving on the bigger roads. Afraid I'm going to forget to look for signs, miss turns, etc. Anyone got any ways I can just chill and do everything I've learned without /over/doing it? Or maybe I should just start small for awhile, drive around in college lots or my own neighbourhood?

My race car

I have a Toyota Minolta(sponsored) race car that I am using in endurance races. Since it is more than 1000 horsepower, the gas mileage isn't that great. It is a middle-engine, rear wheel drive monster of a car. Heres the problem: My rear tires are wearing out much faster than my front tires, i know with it being rear wheel drive that it is prone to doing this, but is there a way to prevent it? Should i increase the downforce on the rear wing or would that just cause more problems? Advice please.

Is it true that if you own a mitsubishi, eclipse and your short its hard to see through the rear-view mirror because the seats are so low, and its hard to look through the back glass because the seats are so low?
