gingerbread house Posted Saturday December 22 2007, 12:33 am
I want to make a gingerbread house for Chistmas, with graham crackers. I've tried to look online, but it wasn't helping much. It kept coming up either with the cardboard, or for like little kids.
Anyway, can I just use the recipe I found with the cardboard, then just replace the cardboard with graham crackers? Or, if you guys have any better recipes, that would work too. Or, if I did use the cardboard, can I just put graham cookies over it, then I don't have to cook anything in the oven? Any ideas? Thank youu!!

Popcorn!!! Posted Sunday December 16 2007, 11:40 am
How do you pop popcorn the way without just sticking a bag into the microwave?
I think you buy kernels (any recommendations for where I can get these and what brand?) then place them in a pan (what kind? how deep?) and some oil (again, what kind? and how much? or do I use butter? or is it magarine I put?) and cover it (how? the cover for the pan or aluminum foil) and cook them over a stove? How long do I wait? And if I wanted to add cheese, what stage do I do that? Thanks in advance!

I need some good recipes!!!! Posted Tuesday December 11 2007, 6:16 am
Hello everyone. My boyfriend is out of town working right now, and I was going to bake something with him when he gets back. He comes back on Friday or Saturday. I'm wanting to know if any of you have ever made anything with someone, and what it was. Or if you know of any really good websites, that'd be great! I'm wanting to make some type of dessert, but I'm not sure what yet. I was going to look right now for some websites, and look at random foods. I'm wanting something that doesn't take too long to make, and something that you don't need tons of ingredients for. I don't wanna have to spend tons of money, but I really want something good to try. I'm sick of the same old desserts. So if any of you know any specific desserts you've made be...

Icing that hardens recipe? Posted Monday December 3 2007, 5:24 pm
Does anyone have a recipe for icing to put on sugar cookies (I'm using cookie cutters) that will harden so it doesn't lose it's shape? Also, I would like to have multiple colors so if there is no way for me to make different icing colors I can't use it. Thanks.

Cookie cutters & icing Posted Tuesday November 27 2007, 6:26 pm
I want to make sugar cookies with cookie cutters and decorate them with different colored icings.
First of all, should I just buy vanilla icing and use food dye to make different colors?
And also to decorate can I get like a piping bag cheap? Where do I find them? Do they have just a plain thin flat tip, like a line shape?
Thank you!

Apple cider Posted Saturday November 17 2007, 2:42 am
Last month I bought a few gallons of fresh, unpasteurized apple cider (in an airtight container). Now that I open it, it has become bubbly like soda and it smells like vinegar. It still tastes delicious and mostly normal. Is it now just a "harder" cider, or has it rotted? Is it safe to drink? Now that I've opened it, must I drink it immediately? Thanks!

Making white rice more interesting Posted Wednesday November 7 2007, 6:29 pm
What are some different ways to eat white rice? I've tried it with vinegar, but I'm wondering other ways. I eat it often but I get tired of eating it by itself or with soy sauce. I'm just curious as to how I can spice it up and make it more flavorful.

Paneras Posted Monday October 15 2007, 7:47 pm
There's this salad at Panera's. It was relatively new during the end of summer? It's like salad with chicken, strawberries, blueberries, tangerine, walnuts, and of course greens. And it had this sweet but a little tangy sauce. I really liked the taste of the sauce but I have no clue what sauce it is. Does anyone know what it could be? Or how to make it?

Soft Foods Posted Saturday October 6 2007, 2:21 pm
Can anyone suggest soft foods?
Here's the story:
My mom's molars on both sides are screwed up. Like the top ones are angeled outwards while the bottom ones are angeled inwards. So she can't really chew and ends up like hurting her gums as well. Her right molar on the bottom was hurting so at the dentist, they did "surgery?" on her molar on the right. I don't know. They did something and there are 2 parts? Well, they can't do the last half of the surgery until sometime in December because the dentist is booked until then. If she's lucky, she'll get it done sometime next week. But anywhos, before that time, she can't eat (Right is the one that she got the surgery on and the left, she can't chew with because it hurts as...
