Am I wrong for choosing to stay at my job?

Currently, I work as an overnight stocker and I’ve been doing it for 7 years straight. The pay is decent( 17 per hour). Currently
, I live at home with my parents and older sister. Life hasn’t been easy since I made dumb decisions when I was younger, thus I had been battling depression for a decade. In 2023, I decided to try to get out of my runt and confront my issues. Firstly, I dealt with my debt. I was dealing with student loan payments and other personal debt. In 2024, by the grace of God, I was able to file for bankruptcy. Secondly, I was job searching to find something better. I did get hired for an overnight stocking position for 19 dollars with a different company. Initially, I was excited but then I rejected the offer....

When is the best time to quit?

Ok so I work currently in a lab as of tomorrow I will be back to work. The thing is I hate the job. I knew I obsessed over germs and chemicals deemed dangerous but only after working at this job I realize how bad it affects me mentally. I think it is because I was used to working with diluted substances now I work with really extremely concentrated substances. Yes I use PPE but for me it is not enough and I have that the lab is ac'ed. I wash my hands so much times and once I get home I have to immediately take a bath. Also, I always feel like I may be sick. once I read about a sickness that can occur because of a chemical I get sick with almost all the sympytoms listed. It is frustrating. I applied to work in a new country just to get away...

Going to be homeless tomorrow

Hello. I understand that this may not be the place for this but I am desperate and out of options. I was living in a small town where there is not much opportunities for employment and housing. I moved to a bigger city to find a job and stable housing for my family and I. I found a job and started working already but will not have a check for two weeks. I need my parents to buy me things, but they want to save the money

Recently, I overheard my parents talking about saving money for me and my brothers college tuitions, and about how we should stop spending money on unnecessary things like clothing, and entertainment (amusement parks, going to the swimming pool, etc.). During this summer break, I got to see all my friends go on expensive vacations, while I’m not going anywhere. Also, I’ve been asking my mom for a very long time if she can please buy me some new clothes for the summer, like shorts and tank tops. And I also need new strings for my violin, which can also be expensive. I don’t know what to do, so please help!

Stay on unemployment or go back to work

Was making average 500 a week at an aerospace co. Covid hit and we slowly ran out of work. June 12 I began receiving $600 per wk aid+$349 from ca edd. Total $1826 every 2 wks. Now extra $600 is gone, might become 3 or $400 if new relief bill is passed. Now my old job is asking me to go back. Making $500 - gas and lunch leaves me about $380 a wk. Im married wife is working from home but will probably lose job due to company downsizing. Have a 9 and 3 yr old. We are currently living with her parents because they needed the extra $ and they have a big 4 bdrm house. Opening bank account without residence permit

My question is the following: I am not an EU citizen, living now in Germany, have no residence permit. All the banks ask for confirmation of residency. Is there any option to open an account in a European bank without residence permit? I have heard about Blackcatcard that you need only copy of your local passport and photo. Is that true? Any other cards?

Income not paid after leaving company

I decided to separate from the company that I worked for I put in my 14 day notice work my full 14 day notice the last day they did not pay me for my vacation and they did not pay me my commissions I have tried to reach them I have emailed and called and no answer I need to know I would like to know what I can do about

I’m working on becoming certified as a Dyslexia Educator (tutor). The lady I do work for (as an indie contractor)wants to pay for half of training. These specific tutors make $80-125 per hour (more). What cut should she be allowed to take if she brings me a student after she’s paid for my training?
I’ve worked with her for close to 3 years doing regular tutoring. She pays me $28 an hour (but charges parents more like $65 per hour). She keeps the lions share because it’s her company (obvs). She is generally cool but I’m excited yet concerned because of the power dynamic/investment she wants to make in me. I want to do what is right and fair - thank you in advance for your time and thoughtful answer.

the company is Roseart in 2012 i discovered blanked figures that looked like people by them and i bought them and made celebirties out of them but last year they foolishly did away with them so i would like for them to discontinue all of their products and shut down their company for good how can you get it done ?

Will This Minimize My Debt?

So I want to escape monthly payments quickly. In 2017 I bought a 17' Honda HR-V EX. I currently owe $20k and it has 30k miles. The loan is 5% interest 72 months, I have 50 months less. According to the web it's worth between $15k and $18k.
Honda has an exchange offer and they claim to give at to above market value for the exchange. The car is in almost perfect condition. My idea is to trade it in for a 2019 Honda Fit LX (Base model). Priced at $16k. I know after taxes and fees it will be more. My credit is higher than when I bought the car. And I'm ahead in my payments.
Does anyone know if this will work in greatly reducing my $20k of debt? I'd rather have a balance of $10k in debt than $20k. Any ideas on what the end numbers can be?

Through working a lot of extra hours and having a new job that pays more than my old job, i've been able to save more money than I've ever had before. I currently have around 13k in my bank account. I told myself when I got to 10k that it would be enough for me to feel financially secure and that anything I made over that I would use just to pay bills and buy anything extra I need. My bills every month are around $1500 to give some perspective.
I currently have a new car, a home I love with my significant other, and really everything I need. I have a few things that could use upgrading, but they still work fine. For example, I have a three year old laptop. It works fine, but I would eventually like to upgrade ...

understanding depression

I never thought depression was REAL, or that people suffering from depression were weak... but now I feel it everyday. I do not feel any kind of hope for my or our country's (planet's) future. LONG list of disturbing atrocities by the human populace and by our governments. Selfish egotistical people with power and ignorant uneducated people pushing for entitlements instead of anyone honestly working. I don't know. I am ready for my life to end just don't want to hurt my family.

I left my teaching job mid-year so I could search for a job that I loved. My whole life, I have had jobs that I have hated. It took 4 months of unemployment to find my current job.
And I love my current job. However, I am in a financial crisis. I am in debt and I am trying to pay it off. I am trying to move out of my apartment and get my own (because I am not happy in my relationship), and I will need a new car, or a new-used car.
Based on my calculations to pay off my debt, and to get everything I need, if I stay with my boyfriend and keep my current job, it will take YEARS.

The school I’m attending doesn’t accept fafsa. They said that I can call around workforce centers or Catholic charities or get a private student loan from the bank. I’m worried about getting a loan. Tuition is $7,000. If I can’t get any financial assistance, I will have to get a loan.

I am trying to save money for a Demi Lovato concert ticket. Unfortunately I can't do much jobs because im in my final year of school and working every weekend from morning to night will be to stressful and to busy for me and most jobs I will only make minimum wage and I'll never get enough in time for the concert. I've started tutoring my friend math once a week but that isn't much money. I am going to apply to do promotions because then I can choose when I want to do it and it won't be the entire day. What are other ways to make enough money that won't be to time taking?
My sister said I should go and make a poster and dress up on the streets, because people do it every year when it comes to this huge party...

Long story short I transferred from a private school to a University this last semester. The university didn't send out admission letters until last minute, but I still took them up on it to save a ton of money.
Well now, unbeknownst to me until recently, my old private school is holding my transcripts for $2,100 because they claim they couldn't find somebody else for fall housing since I cancelled my fall admission there about a week before the semester started. They never called to inform me about it until I called them to get my transcripts released this week.
I feel totally screwed right now because my University wants a copy of my transcripts from the private school to ensure I'm not still attending there...

I was just notified that im getting sued by a company that holds my car title. i have the car in possession -it doesn't run anymore. i bought it from a company that sold the title & i began paying this new company over the years. my contract says if i dont pay, they come get the car. when my car broke down i told them i wasnt paying anymore & for them to come pick up the car. they wouldnt. all i owed was 1,000. they said at least twice over the phone over a span of months that they refused to pick up the car. then without my knowledge sold the title to another company. i tried calling this next new company & they would never answer the phone nor respond to a voicemail. once months later i get ahold of them but hung up when they ...

In a tough financial spot, should I wait it out or start selling stuff?

I had some unexpected financial fall backs this month. My home was in the direct path of a hurricane and I lost electric for two weeks leaving $200 worth of groceries spoiled. I had to eat out for a while and then replace everything that was refrigerated costing me another $150. My car windshield was smashed by a falling branch from the same hurricane, this cost me $250.
To top it all off a big paycheck I was expecting won't be coming for another week when I was told it was sent last week only to be told today it just got sent out this afternoon.
