I always wear a mask and gloves no matter the situation when it comes to Covid-19. The problem I am having is that my face absolutely burns the second I put it on. I thought it may have been cotton in the ones people have made for me but the issue appears to be there even with the surgical type of mask that you can buy that looks like what they have in emergency rooms but isn't the same grade.
Does anyone know what I can try? Thus far I suck it up and keep the thing on suffering silently. My face incidentally isn't the only issue. It's been this way for the duration of Covid-19 that my eyes water and get sore and burning itch too to the point I have to find a place to sit down and take glasses off at times.
I'm someone who thinks that masks should be mandatory everywhere but have begun to wonder if face shields are the way to go. How do they stack up in terms of protection? Do any of you use them in your daily life? I would love some recommendations.
I would see a doctor to figure out what the allergy appears to be but specialists in addition to general practitioners are not taking any in person appointments period. Walk-in clinics are the same. Urgent care is open but this is not an emergency.
For now I'll keep the mask on no matter what but it would be nice not to have the problems I mentioned.
