Hi. I just turned 18 yesterday and it was so boring. I never had close friends so I just celebrated my birthday with my family. I want to get a tatoo just because I want to have a memorable experience in my birthday that gonna last forever. My family are super strict and conservative. They don't even want me to have an extra ear piercing which I'll do soon. I want to get a tattoo in the back of my ears. What colour should I have that is not obvious when I go ponytail? Pls help. And what is the best tattoo? My options are semi colon (cancer awairness campaign), spider and infinity sign. I want a tattoo that is kinda small enough to be noticed from afar. What can you suggest? Thanks.
I think get something that means a lot more to you. Like what are your reasons for getting the semi colon? Did you have family with cancer? Or know someone with cancer? Or just want to show your support? Because I like that one.
I know infinity signs mean a lot. Because it means "forever". A lot of couples will get that tattoo. Or people who lose someone close to them will get that in honor of them.
Is there a reason behind the spider? Or you just thought it looked cool?
I have one tattoo on my shoulder, it's my middle name with a feather. It's a family name.
I'm planning on getting a sunflower tattoo next week in honor of my mom since she passed away.
rainhorse68 answered Monday September 21 2015, 8:26 am: Hi. Just thought I'd point something out. Tatts on wrists, hands and faces can sometimes make it difficult to get hired for high-profile public-facing jobs. Because they can't be hidden. And many companies/bosses are a bit reluctant to have their front-people/brand ambassadors showing tatts. You won't be told that's the reason, they'll just hire someone else 'more suitable'. So if you see yourself up for this kind of thing in your career-plan you might think about having it somewhere that smart day wear or evening wear hides away. Other than that, I'd say a spider is questionable symbolism? Aren't they a bit creepy? Infinity sign or semi colon seem more interesting/mysterious to me. Do think before you have anything permanent on your face though won't you? I know celebrities have them, but that's not a very realistic career aspiration for the vast majority of us, and you don't want to stack the deck against yourself. The conservative and strictly establishment people might annoy you right now, but they often hold the reins in prestige businesses that pay the biggest salaries I'm afraid.
