Will the #KylieJennerChallenge hurt me?

Question Posted Wednesday April 22 2015, 2:30 am

HI!

I want to do the #KylieJennerChallenge but I want to make sure it is safe. Can anybody say for sure? If it isn't safe then how do I get lips like Kylie?

Hi! The Kylie Jenner challenge can actually leave scars on your lips or your lips can be permanently disfigured. There are other safer and better ways to achieve fuller lips. The first way may sound a bit sketchy, but I've seen makeup artists do this before, but you can draw them in (not like Miranda Sings), try going onto Youtube and searching it up, but I wouldn't recommend this, because it's harder then it looks (personal experience). The second way is a bit more slow and takes more time, but use an exfoliater not only does it naturally make your lips fuller, but it also softens them.

well to be honest i have tried the kyliejenner challenge and it does work.i was scared at the first place because i had seen some fails but it was okey.it plumps your lips a bit but it hurts a little.you could try it once if you want to see how it is but do not do it regularly because i do not know what the effects might be.also do not keep it for a long time on your lips.now moving on..the media has made girls and women want big full lips.but guess what.not everybody has them!just do not be a victim and be yourself.be proud of the lips that you have and do not try to be someone that you are not.at the end of the day that is not the real kylie and i can assure you that the natural look is the best.hope this helpes.-xoxo

It is not safe to deliberately bruise yourself to make your lips - temporarily - swell up.

Have you ever seen someone's lips swell up because they got hit by a soccer ball or punched in the face? That's exactly the same principal. It's the same thing people are doing to their lips, just on purpose. Not only is it not safe, you can risk real damage. You could disfigure yourself for life.

There isn't a safe way for a young girl to 'get lips like Kylie'. The safe thing to do is look at make up how-tos and explore your own style to get effects you like. You can alter a lot about how your face looks and what people think of you with make up. But actually changing your face will take surgery. Anything else, any other product that promises to make your lips bigger, is doing it either by damaging them enough to make them swell or is simply not doing anything at all. Even those 'bee pollen' products function on that principal. It introduces an irritant that makes your lips swell up, just like the skin swells up around a bee sting.

It'll never be a good idea, or a safe idea, to deliberately do damage to yourself to look a certain way.
