Bring some doggie treats along that your puppy really likes. Hold a treat in your hand up by your chest and make sure your puppy knows you have it. The puppy will focus on your hand instead of his surroundings so he isn't distracted by other dogs and such. As son as he finds that "sweet spot" by your side where you want him to be then give him the treat. Continue to do this throughout the walk when he is he walking where you want him to. Do this every time you walk him, gradually cutting back on the treats until he will stay at heel just for praise alone. I haven't tried it yet but it seems like a great idea!Good luck!
