Ok, so don't laugh please? I have always been small chested with only a B and I feel ugly because other girls have larger breasts than me. Are there any drawbacks to going and getting breast implants? Things I need to know before I go for the appointment? Anything? I want them, but I am scared of surgery at the same time. :(

While you can still breast feed with implants you will most likely need additional surgeries after having children because they will change sizes. There are also medical health risks. I believe Kanye West's mother had complications and they had money for the best of the best. I would goggle what happened to her. Heres another thing to think about with elective surgery. Being put to sleep also has risks. My aunt went in for a routine procedure was put to sleep and never woke up. After having my children I desperately need and want implants myself but as you I am just too afraid of the unknown. Is it really worth all the risks? You should just wear push up padded bras and love yourself. Your beauty is not defined by breast size and I think you know that. You sound rather young and if so you have more time for development. Give it more time, more thought and surround yourself with people who love you for you. I promise the older you get the less importance your appearance will be. A man who truly loves a girl and wants a real relationship is not concerned about breast size. [ Never2bAlone's advice column | Ask Never2bAlone A Question ]

The first question you might want to ask your surgeon is:
Will you be able to breast feed you children? Since the least expensive of the surgeries for implantation the doctors open the nipple and push the implant in from behind the nipple. This may preclude you ever Breast Feeding. It may also reduce the sensitivity in your nipples.
The next question how big should you be? The doctor will in many instances will make you as big as you want. The doctor will also recommend a size that is proportional to your frame. If you go to big people will know you have been enhanced as it will show.
For a good result, meaning there is no evidence you have been enhanced you want the implant placed behind the muscle. This is the most expensive of the surgeries but worth the cost. My wife had a mastectomy with reconstructive surgery. The plastic surgeon placed the implant behind the muscle.
Now I know which breast is real and which is the rebuilt one and I honestly cannot tell by feel or by looking which one is which. In fact all of our doctors are amazed at how real her breast looks and have to be reminded which one is the rebuilt one. Fortunately the insurance company picked up the tab for my wife's plastic surgery as the cost for the reconstructed breast and enhancing of the other one was just over $20,000. Though worth every penny.
There is pain involved as your skin is going to be stretched and you are going to have added wait on your chest you are not use to. This subsides after a week or so as you get use to the weight and the surgical pain subsides.
All surgeries come with risks. There are risks of infection, scaring and unknown allergies you might have.
The drawbacks to the surgery are in what I have written above. Though put succinctly, you get what you pay for. Breast reduction surgeries can be had for around $4,000 and up to $20,000. The more you pay the better the outcome.
One thing that is extremely important is to find a Board Certified Surgeon in Plastic Surgery. Any doctor can preform Surgery or Plastic Surgery if they had a rotation in those areas during their residency. By having Board certification means they went on and spent a year in a Fellowship learning the techniques of Plastic surgery and passing the exams to become Board Certified.
