PS3 and online gaming?

Question Posted Monday August 12 2013, 12:44 am

I wanted to buy myself a PS3 at the end of the month but I just wanted to be clear about something before I do so.

From what I understand, to play games online with an xbox 360 and have to pay for a monthly or yearly subscription fee. But from what I understand about the PS3, you don't have to pay anything (aside from your regular internet bill, of course) Is that right? Google was never 100% clear.

Also, a side question for anybody who can answer it, will I be able to have multiple online accounts? Like one for me to use, one for another family to use, etc?.
