One thing that can happen is the same thing as when you were an infant in diapers. Its almost inevitable at some point that a baby is going to have a diaper rash. While the urine can contribute to that, a lot of it has to do with any prolonged amount of time that wetness is in that area against your skin if you are using pads. If using pads, switch to using tampons and see if that helps. If you are already using tampons, then you may want to see a doctor to find out what it is. It could be a benign skin rash and there may be something they recommend that makes it feel better if it's irritating you. Best to know for sure just to lay your mind at rest.
