I have a ten week old Maltese , Yorkshire terrier cross , she is lovely , but then all of a sudden she turns in to a snarling , teeth bearing nightmare ,for instance today she was just happily sat on my daughter knee , nobody bothering her and she just flipped , it was quiet frightening to watch ,any advice please would be great
Perhaps something outside the home has disturbed her? How is she with children/other dogs?
To be honest, I think this is still part of the settling in process. Most animals go through a phase like this.
I'd just make sure I'm constantly giving her attention and wearing her out during the day by playing with her, so she's too tired to be aggressive at night.
It could be a hormone thing. i'd say if it carries on after you've tried my advice, contact your vet, or take her with you to a pet food store and ask the knowledgeable staff their why she may be aggressive. [ kittenlover2000's advice column | Ask kittenlover2000 A Question ]
