I use to own a 2002 Ford Taurus and I had a sub put into it. I am not sure the details of the sub I just know a guy that works on cars and he just ordered me one and I paid. It is a Kenwood, it hit pretty decent in my Taurus not super hard but a decent amount.
Now I got rid of my Taurus for a Camry since my Taurus was going down the drain. It is a 2008 Camry and the same sub was put into it. This time though the Sub doesn't seem to hit as loud, the guy that i had do it said," I tweaked it a little because the converter I put in this time had weird settings and if I cranked it up any higher it got all distorted and sounded like crap."
Is there anything I can do to make it hit as hard as it use to or even harder? My other friend said the sub might even hit harder in this car based on the deck?
This stuff is over my head and was just wondering what could be done, I want alot of bass but with good sound too and to just get it to be what it was in taurus at the least.
Any help is appreciated! This stuff is way above me! :p
Additional info, added Sunday May 26 2013, 2:07 pm: Also there is an Input Gain thing that you can turn with a screw driver and a low pass filter that you can turn too. Not sure what those are to be honest.
Also there is a Bass boost on it that is on 12ghz i believe.
