Sex: How long until you can tell you got an STD?

How long does it take for a man to find out he got an std from another man?

There's no way for you to know if you have a sexually transmitted disease without going to your doctor and getting tested. Although with certain STDs the symptoms are so recognizable that they can be diagnosed by eye, most STD symptoms are so non-specific that it's impossible to diagnose what sexually transmitted disease is causing them, or even if they're the result of a STD at all.
