i got to an accident with a tree and i have learner's permit with insurance but no one got hurt so my question is are we going to get help from insurance company if we don't have license? but we do have insurance policy
Additional info, added Tuesday March 13 2012, 4:14 pm: learner's permit holder has the insurance but not the license holder has, this makes more confusing and i was driving with above 21 yrs old . Otherwise stephiipuff is correct in what she told you. If you did not have a licensed driver over 21 in the car with you the insurance company can refuse to pay the claim.
The law requires that someone over 21 with a fully valid license to operate a motor vehicle be in the front passenger seat at all times with some one driving on a learner's permit. NO insurance companies have been known to repair cars that have been stolen. If you tool the car without permission the insurance company may repair it under the limits of the policy provided charges have been filed. If you don't have insurance, you're out of luck.
stephiipuff answered Monday March 12 2012, 12:15 am: well there's a couple of different answers for this question. If you had a parent or guardian of legal age with you in the passenger seat as the law mandates, then more than likely you will get help from your insurance company unless an accident like that isn't covered in your policy. However, if you didn't have a parent or legal guardian with you, then your coverage would be denied because technically you would have been breaking the law. Best of luck to you though! I'm happy to hear that nobody was hurt. [ stephiipuff's advice column | Ask stephiipuff A Question ]
