So i was in the shower today self examining and i found a pea sized bump on my cervix ( the other bumpish like) and i just had my annual checkup in August and it was normal. And i haven't had sex since. I was wondering if it was cancerous or a cyst. Should i be worried? Help! Thanks.

We are not Doctors and even if we were we cannot make an examination over the web.
You are smart to do a monthly self examination between annual physicals. This is the best way to catch something before it becomes a problem. Early detection is the first step to an early cure if that is what is needed.
There is no way to tell what that bump is. Your GYN will have to examine it, possible biopsy it. Don't come all unglued over the word biopsy as it is probably the best way to find out what its is. I'm not sure a less invasive way; such as an MRI or CT-San will give the doctor a good idea of what it is considering where it is.
Many more biopsies come out negative for cancer than come out positive. My suggestion is you remain calm until you have something to worry about.
Call you Gyn today. Tell them you found a lump or a bump on your cervix. They will most likely schedule in at the first opportunity using one of the doctors emergency appointments. Don't let this upset you. Most doctors do this as they want to know what they are dealing with so they can get on top of this as soon as possible. The sooner they know the sooner you know and together, based on whether it is a good or bad outcome, you can decide how to treat.
One suggestion I do have: No matter what the outcome, get a second opinion. Especially if the outcome is to the effect, it is not yet cancerous so we will monitor it and see what happens.
I would suggest you get the opinion of a good Oncologist in any case. An Oncologist is a far better source for treatment of bumps and lumps be they benign or not. Your insurance company will pay for second opinions and even third opinions in some cases. [ adviceman49's advice column | Ask adviceman49 A Question ]
