disconnecting a car battery in a 2002 nissan altima

I have a 2002 Nissan Altima with two types of security systems. One is the Nissan Vehicle Immobilizer System-NVIS and the second is a Vehicle Security System. My question is regarding disconnecting the battery. If I disconnect it, will the alarms go off? When I go to reconnect the battery, will all the computer memories and alarms be the same and work properly? I also have keyless entry.
This really depends on the reason for disconnecting the battery. If you are changing the battery, then you are OK to have an alternate power source to retain your computer data.
If you need the system completely dead to change an electronic component, then I suggest you let your mechanic do this.
