Ok so I was being really stupid and messing with my stereo and I decided to take it out to look for a certain cable behind it...the reason it was so stupid to do this was because I know absolutely nothing about cars or the stereo systems. So, I got it all out and I pulled it out and now it just won't go back in :( I have NO idea how to get it back in and I've been trying to fix it all day to no avail :( please help my parents are going to flip if they find out I screwed it up :/ if you need additional info to answer this, ask me and I'll edit it. Thanks SO much to whoever can help!!!
Don't panic! The very BEST course of action here is to take the car down to a local stereo shop and have them look at it. If you don't have a full-on autosound shop, some stores do installation as well. BestBuy is one example.
The odds are, a qualified installer will see the issue in only a couple minutes and charge you very little for the repair.
Once upon a time I had my own pro audio shop, and you would just be astonished at how many people do what you just did to that poor innocent piece of car audio gear. ;-)
It usually takes under 5 minutes to sort these things out, so don't give up hope.
