2001 mitsubishi eclipse lighter and clock stopped working?

Question Posted Friday April 30 2010, 3:58 am

Hello,

I have a car charger for my 2001 mitsubishi eclipse and i plugged it in the lighter, it worked for about two seconds then the clock on the dash went out, and so did the lighter. The radio still works, but i cannot see the time or radio station. I checked every single fuse (on the left of the drivers side and under the hood) and the fuses are fine..What could this be? Any solution?

Thanks

if it isn't a fuse then it's probably a short in one of the wires. i'd take it to a car shop and ask them to take a look at the wiring under the dash board maybe?
