Question Posted Thursday May 14 2009, 7:03 pm

If i mix brownie batter with cake batter and put the exact ingrediants that each package tells me to put all in a big bowl and then bake it...is it going to swell as high as a cake or is it going to be somewhere in between and will it turn out well. thank you. if you have a recipe i will be glad to accept it.

Smartone answered Friday May 15 2009, 3:47 pm:
Brownies are more dense than cake, so theoretically, it should thicken the consistency of the cake, somewhat. You'll probably have a denser cake. I believe the cake will rise to it's normal cake height. Nevertheless, you must do the experiment to see if the theory is true. Try it! If it doesn't work out well, then you'll know. However, you may be pleasantly surprised. What have you got to lose? You may discover a new recipe!
