xkatiex answered Monday February 23 2009, 12:27 am: My theory is that they turn out better if you wait till the water is boiling... plus they will be more 'instantanious' if added to already boiling water... I like to save the flavouring and add it at the end after most of the water is drained. Makes the noodles more flavoursome.

But it can slow down how quickly it boils if you add the seasonings first, because salt water has a higher boiling point. BahaiMa22 answered Sunday February 22 2009, 6:29 pm: Many direction packages that are "Instant" will tell you to wait until the water is boiled to make sure it's fully cooked. I just wait until my noodles are tender and just add the flavoring to it. :)
