I still have time to think, but I have NO idea what I want to major in. Im really good in english but dont want to do any teacher sort of thing and the author life is too risky. I love horses, but couldnt be a vet b/c i could never bear the sorrow of putting a horse to sleep. I love animals in general. I love designing too, but Im not awsome in math so interior design would be a bit too tricky. I cant really draw. Could anyone just list some cool things to look into even if it has nothing to do with my interests? Thanks... for the help. :-D

If you are excellent in english, and you don't want to be a teacher or author, why not a journalist? You could become a news journalist and travel the world, reporting news back to a magazine, newspaper, or news station. Or just someone who finds the information and writes articles in the paper or magazine. There are some excellant jobs out there for english majors. aZnTeNnIsGrL09 answered Thursday August 19 2004, 2:43 pm: okay, you could be a designer if you really work hard towards it, and when i say this, i mean you should learn your math better, and maybe you could be an animator or do something w/animation, since you like to draw, think into it a bit...

chaos answered Thursday August 19 2004, 1:24 pm: Have you considered volunteering at different places to find out what you might like? Use those writing skills to write a letter to find out if anyone can help you by shadowing or answering some questions about their occupation.
You could edit a newspaper or be a broadcast journalist. You could be a zookeeper or zoologist, it isn't easy, but you probably wouldn't have to put anyone to sleep. The vet would do that. You could be the next Jane Goodall and do behavoir research. There was one guy here that all he studied was ants. Believe it or not he was pretty darn interesting.

storageanddisposal answered Thursday August 19 2004, 12:28 pm: Well, let's see. If you work hard you could teach poetry or writing at a college level. This way you don't have to deal with annoying students making outbursts in your class, and you don't have to worry about keeping the students at a certain average, etc. If you don't want to do that, maybe you could get into wildlife conservation. I always thought that would be a neat job. And design does involve math, but not as much as one would think, you might want to still consider this. Something that's not on the list... What about the culinary arts? Cooking doesn't sound too difficult, and a good chief makes pretty good money. [ storageanddisposal's advice column | Ask storageanddisposal A Question ]
