hello all. i wrote a book and it got published and the publisher said that my book would be in stores by june 14th and there still arent any books in any stores. any advice on why i cant find my book anywhere or what to say to my "agent/publisher?"
If you are looking to get yourself out there a few good ways to start:
You could publish in the local newspaper
If your school has monthly papers, You could publish your stuff there as well. Even joining a club to be an editor of the yearbook
Also, If you are really wanting to publish a book the best way to get it done is to find a publisher or an editor. Almost every book has a page about that but like I said it can be very costly.

Or maybe ask a bookstore first when they are getting your book so you dont have to ask ur agent. Either way, it's your book, your agent said it would be in stores and you have a right to know why it's not.

advicequeen answered Sunday August 15 2004, 3:06 pm: You should definitely go straight to the publisher. He is the one who made the promise, and you have to confront him about it. You don't have to be mean about it, you could ask him nicely. Also - you could ask a bookstore if they are soon to get your book. Plus, you have to be aware of many of the publishing scams going around, so make sure you have all his contacts. Good luck with your book!
