Head cold??

Question Posted Wednesday August 4 2004, 7:05 pm

Well today I woke up with a really stuffy nose. I went to go take a shower and I bent down to pick up some shampoo and when I got back up I got dizzy and this gray fuzz took up like half my vision. It started from the bottom of my eye but seemed to stop halfway. It made my eyes water and head spin.

Maybe it was from getting up too fast + a head cold? This never happens when I just get up really fast, but I do get a little dizzy. But I was hoping for your help...because I'm not sure. =o/

Thanks!

when i read your question it was so weird, because that EXACT SAME thing happens to me! and in the shower! wow! yeah i think it's because we get up from bed and we're still tired & we have to stand up for awhile in the shower & our stuffy noses really add to the problem .. sometimes i actually have to sit in the shower because i feel weak! wow! lol if you ever need anymore advice be sure to drop it in my inbox!

much love, julie

I get like that too. I get like all delerious ((haha as usual)) but in any case i feel like im like having a hangover even tho i NEVER drink... its so wierd. What I think is that you just get that from getting a cold and being sick... I think its just from having a cold and just turning all dizzy. Its nausea. But its normal most people do getting it while having a cold. But if you get it too often, try consulting with a doctor. You shouldnt have to deal with this more than you should. How to get rid of it? Take cold medicine... it always helps me... and lots of bed rest is good for you.

Well even when you feel well, standing back up from a bending down position really fast makes everyone dizzy and uncomfortable. But it probably could be a head cold or something that is making this kind of thing worse for you. Go see a doctor or get some acute head cold medicine. A really good OTC medicine for this kind of thing is Comtrex acute head cold medicine, whenever i get bad headaches i just take 2 and about 15 minutes later it is pretty much gone.

Scary enough, it always happens to me. It's because the blood is rushing to your head, and it gives you alittle black-out because it's more blood in your head then usual (because your upside down). It's fine, it's nothing to worry about.

the same thing happens to me in the shower. no matter where you are, if you sit/lay/bend down and come up fast, you gett dizzy, lightheaded, and you vision is impared. it may have been worst because of your headcold. its nothing to worry about, its just how your body reacts to your actions.

hope i helped! rate me please:)
