a dog is a big responsibility! you have to "potty train" it, take it out to do his buissness, clean up after it, feed and water it, find a place for it to stay if you go away...ext. first i would ask your parents to buy you a hamster or fish of something first and show them you can take care of that. also dogs aren't that cheap, unless you get it from an animal shelter, but than you still hae to buy all the supplies it needs and then get it shots every year and take it to the vet if it's sick. i hope you get one but like i said i would start out with something smaller!

sincerely,
n*cheer

Dogs can be noisy, hard to take care of, smelly, and very annoying if you get jaded by them. I advise you not to get a dog if you don't think that you can handle the responsibility. You have to walk them, clean up their poop, train them to be a "good dog" and also go through hours of playing with them every day. Don't waste your parents' money if you aren't willing to do even one of these things.

I am sure you parents have good reasons. Dogs are expensive, and a lot of responsibility. But talk to them about it.

There may be many resosn: they think you are to young to care for it; its too expesive; they don't want one messing up the house; they think its just a 'phase', and you won't want it after a while; someone in the house is allergic to them etc.

There are a thousand and diffrent resons, and you really need to talk to your 'rents about why exactly they don't want you to have one.
