GC_rox_my_sox answered Saturday April 10 2004, 5:09 pm: Try getting your hair angled. Its not very expensive. The stylist just ties your hair up in a ponytail and snips off the ends. And for cheap clothes, look on the sales racks. You can practically reinvent your whole wardrobe. [ GC_rox_my_sox's advice column | Ask GC_rox_my_sox A Question ]
adviceprincess answered Sunday April 4 2004, 4:41 am: well, if your looking for a way to style your hair and get totally cute clothes, then heres a good way. where i live, theres a store called plato's closet. it's like a consingnment shop but with name brand clothes like, american eagle abercrombie, hollister, etc. and belevie it or not, they have really cute clothes there. so if i were you, shop at a consingment store that sells name brand clothes. no one will ever know the difference. also, if you don't have a store like that, then go to the mall, and go to L.S. ayres. they have the cutest stuff there! but about your hair....well, have you ever tried curling it? that could be cute. or just wearin it straight. oh and if it's layered your could flip up the ends. well i hope i helped you out! good luck!
i can't say anything about hair...just play around with it and see what you like. That's what I do...my hair is wacky...
go to google and type in "hairstyle" and click on "images."

notnormal answered Thursday March 25 2004, 12:14 am: You can get really cheap clothes at thrift stores. I am not sure if you live in the US, but the Salvation Army and Good Will sell used clothes, and there are other less well known thrift stores. You do have to look longer for good stuff though, because they are often older styles. If you are creative with putting things together, you can look really "cool."
I had a friend that shopped exclusively at thrift stores, and she was not poor at all. She always looked absolute great, and unique.
About your hair, you can experiment with hair products. Some make your hair slick and straight. Others make it curl and wave. You can talk to a hair stylist at a salon to get some advice on which products, or just go to the store, read the lables and take a chance. I personally would ask a stylist. nachoxqween answered Thursday March 4 2004, 6:38 pm: Some good places to buy cheap & cute clothes are JCPenney, Sears, Target, K-Mart, and even Walmart. You have to look really hard to find something at K-Mart, though. [ nachoxqween's advice column | Ask nachoxqween A Question ]
BewareOfCat2 answered Friday February 27 2004, 1:16 am: Be simple but trendy. You don't have to buy all the ultra-expensive clothes but I would save money for those you-must-have clothing. Be cute but simple. Also look for really good bargains. Banana Republic has really good sales most the time. Have things that really add pizazz to the outfit. Tank tops and hoodies are always cute and (usually) pretty cheap. [ BewareOfCat2's advice column | Ask BewareOfCat2 A Question ]
Turc answered Thursday February 26 2004, 9:08 pm: I have no idea what to do with your hair, but Target, Walmart, and Kmart usually supply trendy but cheap clothes. If all else fails, hit the local Salvy Army or Goodwill- the vintage look is in. [ Turc's advice column | Ask Turc A Question ]
