Christmas and Birthday

Question Posted Saturday December 13 2003, 10:37 pm

Well, a guy named *John just asked me out a few days ago. I have liked him for a long time. We went out the other day and are planning on going out again. Now, I have no clue what to get John for Christmas or his birthday. He plays soccer although he's majourly obsssed with lacrosse. He also likes hockey. His 13th birthday is Christmas Eve. So, if you have any ideas, please tell me. I want to get him something that shows i put thought into it but isn't too serious. i was thinking of getting him a signed lacrosse ball but I don't know any famous lacrosse playeres. Does anyone know what would be a good present idea?

Mm im a guy.. and i play lacrosse and i love it as well, and i think you should get him a lacrosse hat, because they are really cool. My old girlfriend gave me one, and i didnt like it but i didnt tell her but thats ok. Just a regular hat from www.lacrosse.com are really cool ones.. good luck

Well, if you are confused about to get him something socvcer or something lacrosse, then I would get him something Soccer and something Lacrosse! Then it would be a win-win situation! And I'm sure he will like whatever you get him!

A few things I have tried when wanting to know what another person likes:

1. Go shopping with him. At stores he likes.
2. Ask his mom or his friends.
3. Have long conversations with him.
4. Going to a game with him would be fun too.
5. Guys love it when you make things for them.

You aren't expected to understand everything about a person right away... but watch and listen for a bit and see what he's missing (maybe his gym bag is destroyed and needs replacing, maybe he's just discovered author X and you can get him an early short stories compilation or a signed latest novel, whatever...), or get something sweet and delicious... chocolate, sponge toffee, butter pecans (if you haven't tried these, they're delicious!), chocolate-covered coffee beans (if he's into the caffeine thing)... whatever!
