If you say it seriously at an appropriate time, you shouldn't be miscontrued. But do not, and I repeat DO NOT, say it at a completely inappropriate time, such as at a funeral, when she is rushing to get to something that started 5 minuites ago, or when you are wiring a bomb togeather. Of course, it may be a good idea to know the person, but I'm thinking you already do. :) If she's just an acquaintance, get to know her better before telling her your feelings- unless you're charming yourself, them she will be flattered and might like you. w00t!
