buy one of those mask things you put over your eyes, that way when you wake up and open your eyes, your mind still thinks you're asleep...

Bash your head against the wall, over and over and over... you might wake up in the hospital with a massive headache.

Believe it or not....warm milk. It contains a chemical that acts as a sedative.
If that doesn't help, try drinking "Oat Straw Tea" before bed. You can get it at any health food store, G.N.C. etc.
Either of these should be more than sufficient in helping.
If you find that your inability to sleep continues, you may want to see a Dr.

I turn up the earworm in my head, and repeat the lines I can remember over and over until I sleep. Or turn on PBS or read or listen to some classical music.

Take a hot bath about an hour before you want to go to sleep. Read. Listen to chamber music. Daydream. Anything that normally calms you down and makes you feel comfortable will help.

repeat the word "mung" over and over and over and over again... don't stop, whatever you do. Stopping is the worst thing you could possibly do.

Read for a bit, or listen to talk radio in the dark. Being still and letting words wash over me usually works for me.
