Advicenators Frequently Asked QuestionsWhat do the question ratings mean? To help sort through the, um, interesting questions we sometimes get, we rate questions based on how interesting they are. You must be a level I (or higher) moderator to rate questions. Here's what the different ratings mean:
- - Question hasn't been rated enough to make any assumptions
- Low Quality - Not a great question. Either really long or really short, with spelling errors, it's been asked 50,000 times already and the person probably could have used any search engine to find the answer.
- Medium Quality - Okay, but shouldn't be a featured question because it's not really that good or it contains sexual references (the main page must be kept PG-rated, if you know what I mean)
- High Quality - Somewhat decent question that people will like answering. Most of the words are spelled right and we can show it on the main page without being embarrassed.
Sex questions cannot be rated 3 because we do not want those on the main page.
If any question receives more than four ratings from the moderators, it gets deleted and taken off the question search pages. Questions must be rated at least three times for the ratings to be shown. Back to FAQ... |
