Urgent- I think I accidentally ingested poop

Posted Thursday August 31 2023, 8:25 am

I was on the toilet, obviously defecating…. I wiped my bottom as normal, but some poop ended up getting on my finger. I was so disgusted and washed my hands about 10 times thoroughly to ensure every last trace was gone.

Now, I’m a nail-biter so cut to a few hours later when I was just biting my nails and all of a sudden I could smell poop. I told my siblings and my mom in the house with me that I was worried- they said maybe it was just me that needs a shower. It most certainly isn’t- I can quite easily distinguish between the “needs a shower” stench and the “poop” stench. Then I get a weird tingly feeling in the back of my throat (a similar sensation to when you have phlegm, only no phlegm was coming up) and r...

I am actually scared whether I have contracted some STI or not

Posted Wednesday July 6 2022, 1:34 pm

Hello, I am 19 year old guy from India. Two days ago I decided to test my sexuality and I had an encounter with a guy. It was oral sex which lasted for a minute or so but I did it without a condom. Before that I asked him whether he was free from STIs or not to which he said yes he had no STIs as such. After the act, I bathed myself twice.

Now this is was my first encounter which was up close. I am actually scared. I want to take a test but the cost is a huge hinderance. I cannot tell this to my parents cause they are not open about this. Luckily I have not showed any symptoms of a disease yet. I pray to God everyday that I am fine. This is a huge confidence downer for me. I am also thinking of asking him again. What should I...

Am so scared, I might be going blind.

Posted Sunday June 12 2022, 3:32 pm

Am 26yr/M from Nigeria in west Africa . My eyes have been sensitive to light since I was 11 years old, it started when I was outdoor playing with a friend, and dust got into my eyes, since then I have this HUGE sensitivity to any/all light source(cell phone, laptop, television, touch lights, car lights, being outdoor) , and it's been slowly damaging my vision. I told My dad who took me to a nurse who gave me some drugs, injections and eye drops which did nothing. This condition has define almost all my life, causing me anxiety, depression, feelings of uncertainty about the future, making me feel inferior, there were days I would wake up at night and cry. some years later I lost my dad, and I got some money from his pension which I spent it ...

loner needs "escort" for medical appointmt & knows no one.

Posted Saturday June 26 2021, 12:01 pm

Due to pain in my side, I am scheduled for a colonoscopy in a few days from now. Because this is a medical procedure where anesthesia is used, the hospital requires that I have an escort (PLATONIC. Don't get the wrong idea!) to make sure that I get home after it's all done. (S/He doesn't necessarily have to drive if I'm awake enough.) I do not know all the details but apparently it's a legal matter for the hospital...the escorting person may or may not have to sign a form. An Uber driver or cab driver does not qualify; this has to be someone I know. The problem is this: I don't know anyone in my area nearly well enough.

My basic character (& certain previous experiences) has led me to a mostly solitary life. I don't need ...

Why do I feel the need to change everything?

Posted Wednesday April 11 2018, 9:23 pm

So I have had this ever since I can imagine and i never really paid any attention to it. I feel a strong urge to change things even if they don't need changing. Some examples would be my room- I move everything around like all of my furniture every week or so, my locker- I change it almost every day (stuff like how many binders I have or folders and papers I think I do or don't need) my backpack/ purses- the contents and different bags to organize things and there are probably a lot more I don't notice. Does anyone know what I'm talking about or have this? No one else I know does.
Just some background info: I am a 13 y/o girl who doesn't have control over basically anything in my life. (Parents take control over everything)

I have diabetes.Why do I have to pee a lot & I can’t hold my bladder?

Posted Friday March 9 2018, 4:35 am

I was diagnosed with diabetes 6 months ago. I pee a lot. The problem with me holding my bladder has been going on for 2 years and it started when I was put in the hospital for sepsis. Back then the doctor said that there was something wrong with my kidneys but never explained. I wasn’t diagnosed with diabetes then. Sometimes I can barely make it to the restroom without peeing on myself and I try to hold it.

How long can an 84 year old person live with congestive heart failure?

Posted Saturday January 20 2018, 9:06 pm

My grandma was diagnosed with congestive heart failure and the doctors in the ER said she almost had a stroke. This happened to her before, but she refuses to take her medicine or gets confused. Most of my family can’t be around her 24/7 because we work. My aunt lived with her, but doesn’t help. She was hospitalized a couple of times for strokes. A couple of weeks ago she went to the ER and they told her she had internal bleeding but sent her home.

Social Anxiety is ruining my life?

Posted Wednesday October 11 2017, 10:05 pm

Lets start off by saying I'm pretty sure I have Social Anxiety. It's not professionally diagnosed but I am 99.9% sure I have it. I can't talk to people, get really worked up in social situations, and have had minor panic attacks in the past. Tye reason that I haven't went to somebody for this is because my parents are anti-therapy. My mom only believes in therapy if you're addicted to drugs or suicidal, and my dad thinks therapy is a hoax. I'm 15 with no money so it's not like I can go see anyone. Back on subject, I have a lot of nervous tendacies that I think rooted from the Social Anxiety, such as me being too afraid to eat around my peers, biting my nails, and ripping my hair put when I'm nervous. I also chew on a lot of stuff when nervo...
