soccurboi48 answered Monday May 16 2005, 9:27 pm: A prepaid cell phone is where you go buy the phone at a store(walmart, circuit city, k-mart, stores like those) and you go to the carrier website(virgin mobile, tracfone) and activate it! Then you go purchase a card then you activate it! And the card allows you to call people for like 10 cents a minute and text for like 5 cents(it all depends on the carriers prices)! You can buy different priced cards like 30 50 1oo! the only difference in pre-paid and non pre paid is that prepaid you cant goover and you do not have a monthly bill! But if your getting pre paid you should get virgin mobile!
